The Clio Cup GB cars will be run during events by the teams themselves. Significant emphasis has been placed on minimising the cost of participating at a competitive level for a season to encourage participation.
Costs are minimised by the following restrictions:
Engine components are sealed and recorded within a vehicle logbook, which are monitored by the championship's eligibility scrutineers.
Clio Cup GB operates a control tyre for both dry and wet conditions. Tyres may only be ordered through the official championship tyre supplier - Protyre. It's strongly recomended to pre-order tyres in advance.
Protyre are in attendance at each race meeting to offer tyre support to teams.
The only permitted race fuel is Carless Hiperflo R20, as supplied by Vital Equipment. Fuel ordering deadline is Friday, the week prior to race weekend. Fuel invoices must be paid in full by the Wednesday prior to the event.
Car operation support
Technical Support will be supplied at selected rounds by the manufacture Alpine.
Alpine host access to the manufacture's Extranet Compétition, with access to the latest technical documents including: vehicle nomenclature, bulletins and updates.
