ROWE Motor Oils lubricates newly-launched Clio Cup GP as exclusive supplier

14 February 2024

ROWE Motor Oils has been appointed as the official engine and gearbox lubricant supplier for the Clio Cup Great Britain Championship by organiser MotorSport Vision Trackdays (MSVT). This year is the competition’s inaugural season, with the iconic French hatchback taking on British circuits in full track trim as the 2024 Renault Clio Cup race car.

As part of the partnership, the renowned German lubricant developer will provide seven litres of engine oil and two litres of gearbox oil to all competitors, free of charge, at each Clio Cup GB event. As a controlled specification, the use of ROWE 5W-40 engine oil and 75W-140 gearbox lubricant is mandatory for all competitors throughout the season.

The involvement of a proven motorsport brand, in ROWE, further strengthens Clio Cup GB’s 2024 package, which promises competitive and exciting racing. ROWE logos will also appear on all cars, displaying branding at racing weekends across many of the UK’s leading circuits.

Jeremy Aston-Phillips, Director at MCOIL, commented: “Few things go together quite as well as motorsport and lubricant innovation. Racing provides some of the most demanding conditions, requiring power, efficiency, and exceptional lubrication at every moment. We are thrilled to working alongside the MSVT team to help power the inaugural Clio Cup GB season with engine and gearbox oil. This competition is an exhilarating and cost-effective route into ‘tin top’ racing and we can’t wait to get trackside at the races. After all, who doesn’t love a hot hatch?”

Further ROWE products will be available to Clio Cup GB competitors with a discount via www.mcoil.co.uk.

The Clio Cup GB Championship is promoted by MotorSport Vision Trackdays (MSVT), the team behind a well-subscribed and award-winning portfolio, including eBay MSVT Trackday Trophy, Trackday Championship, and EnduroKA, and operated by sister organisation MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR).
